Dreams & Latent Content

I have had a reoccuring dream since I was little and its me as a little kid walking out of the mall and walking up to the wrong car and a stranger pops his head out of the window with a ski mask on and the dream ends.  It only happens when thunderstorms are happening.
Another dream that I have is that I am walking to my friend's house and a person is walking their small dog.  I trip over something and when I look up I see that the small dog is running towards me and it bites my face.
Finally, I also have a dream where i am in a swamp and an alligator attacks me and I end up in the hospital surrounded by strangers that i do not know.

Little Albert

1. Yes the experiment did support their hypothesis.  After the loud sound each animal they showed Little Albert he began to cry.
2.  Albert's response was generalized because he was first scared of the rat and then they showed him a rabbit and dog and since he knew they were both soft like the mouse he became scared of those too.
3.  In the case of Peter, they used classical conditioning by making him have a good experience around rabbits so that after awhile he would stop being scared of rabbits.

Flipped

I thought that they deserved to go through all of that.  They got to feel what its like to be bullied and now could see what they were doing to others.  I hope that the experience will change them because no one wants to feel like that and what they had been doing before "flipped" was wrong.

The Twilight Zone

I was not surprised at all by the ending of the episode because they were not showing the faces of any of the characters so i knew something was up.  I do not think beauty changes, it sticks with you throughout your life but you can change your personality.  Lastly, beauty in Kimberly for 2010 is someone with an athletic type of body.

Role Playing Blog

During the role playing activity i found out that i am not very good at being a mean person.  i found it difficult to be mean to people that i do not know that well.  But when i am with people i do know i find it easier to be mean because i know they won't take it in a bad way.  I can't really recall a time in my life where I've been a mean person either because it does not happen very often with me.

In the experiment i thought it is weird how everyone adapts to their role eventually and begin to believe that it is all real.  I agree that they had to stop the experiment although it probably should've ended once the first prisoner went crazy so they could all stop suffering and enter reality once again.

Personality Inventory

What aspects of personality does this tell me about?
There has been much research on how people describe others, and five major dimensions of human personality have been found. They are often referred to as the OCEAN model of personality, because of the acronym from the names of the five dimensions.
Openness to Experience/Intellect

You are somewhat conventional.     (Your percentile: 20)

Conscientiousness
High scorers tend to be reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, careful; Low scorers tend to be disorganized, undependable, negligent.
You are very well-organized, and can be relied upon.     (Your percentile: 83)

Extraversion
High scorers tend to be sociable, friendly, fun loving, talkative; Low scorers tend to be introverted, reserved, inhibited, quiet.
You are neither particularly social or reserved.     (Your percentile: 53)

Agreeableness
High scorers tend to be good natured, sympathetic, forgiving, courteous; Low scorers tend to be critical, rude, harsh, callous.
You are good-natured, courteous, and supportive.     (Your percentile: 90)

The Lobotomist

Walter Freeman was a Lobotomist that was trying to cure people that were insane by shattering their frontal lobe.  He did successfully change the person so they could be released from mental facilities but they still could not live social lives or function properly.  Doctors opposed him but the public thought it was great and was helping society.  I think that Walter Freeman was trying to be a good doctor but only focused on the positives of lobotomy and not the bad.  He thought he was doing the right thing but the patients he operated on did not get any better than they were before the Lobotomy operations.  He had also killed a few patients and it did not phase him at all which tells me that he was crazy.  Because of his perspective on his work I think that he was a mad man trying to be a good doctor.

Crazy Celebrity

Adolf Hitler: Dictator of Germany during WWII.  Wanted to terminate all jews by putting them in concentration camps.  He ended up getting Germany in a 2 sided war against Russia and the allies.  Once they were on the verge of losing the war, he commited suicide.

Cognitive: Hitler believed that if he got rid of all the jews then he would become a hero to the public and become successful.

Psychodynamic: Because Hitler did terrible in school and had no money or place to live once his mother and father died, he started to act against jews because of stereotypes that they were successful.

Biological: It is a fact that people with stressful lives tend to be more aggressive. Hitler had both of his parents die before he was 20 and had no money or job.  He uses his aggression to make people suffer.

Humanistic: Hitler's experience in the German Army made him want more power than just a gun.  He wanted to become the leader of the army so he could spread his power across the continent.

Behavioral: Hitler was promoted for his duty in the army which was to kill and this made him think that if he killed more he would be rewarded even more.

Social-Cultural: As dictator he continued his aggression but acted defensively whenever something didn't go his way.

About Me

I was born in Arizona and moved here when I was 4.  We moved here because most of our family lived in the area.  I love to watch all sports and I'm a fan of all Wisconsin teams and BRETT FAVRE.  I also love to fish on Lake Michigan with my dad and hunt up north at the cabin.  Random things about me: I collect shot glasses, have double jointed fingers, and am planning on joining the navy after this year
